Brief Reflections of 2008
I've been thinking about this past year over that last few days, and to be honest, it was quite a blur. I could not bring to mind one single, solitary, significant event! That's pathetic! I think this is why I need to do this blog! So that 2009 doesn't fly into oblivion as well! So, I thought that I would at least highlight a few of the most memorable events of last year as quickly as I can, before I can't remember anything at all! I may have to do this over a few posts as things come back to my mind... but here is the first and, I would say, the biggest:
September 2008 -- Joshua was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! His baptismal service was beautiful. As luck would have it, he was the only child from our ward being baptized, so he had the program all to himself. All of our family that was there played a part in some way, and Grandpa Jensen and Grandma Rosenhan gave the most wonderful talks. Olivia, Joshua, and Isabelle sang a special musical number, and Josh bore the sweetest testimony at the end. Then we had a big luncheon at our house afterwards. Josh received his first set of "real scriptures," and he has really been trying to read them on his own every day. He was just telling me a few weeks ago about Nephi and his brothers. It is really exciting to see his budding testimony of the gospel. He is such a loving, sensitive boy. We love you, Super Josh!
